Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and foremost business fraternity in the world. Brothers have ample opportunity to further their careers due to an alumni network consisting of over 300,000 professionals in every industry. Alpha Kappa Psi offers leadership experience and personal development opportunity through the many events Mu Chapter holds. But perhaps most importantly, our brothers form friendships which last a lifetime. We are a tight-nit group of friends all working to better ourselves and our communities.
Rush is a series of events which showcase Mu Chapter. It is an opportunity for potential members to see if Alpha Kappa Psi is a right for for them, and allows potential members to meet brothers.
In short, anyone! Alpha Kappa Psi accepts both woman and men as members, and does not require a specific major. Mu chapter is a diverse group originating from many different backgrounds.
Alpha Kappa Psi brothers will contact you on Universal Bid Day to inform you of whether or not you received a bid. Bid Day is the final day of the formal recruitment process and the date varies each year.
Absolutely! If you did not receive a bid your first time rushing, don’t be discouraged. We have several members that have rushed two or three times before receiving a bid, including past presidents!
Yes, brothers pay dues each semester. These dues are substantially smaller in size than those of social/Greek fraternities and sororities. You can find out more about dues during our info sessions at the beginning of the semester.
Yes! We have several brothers that split their time between social organizations and Mu Chapter. While we do consider ourselves to have a strong brotherhood we by no means discourage involvement in other organizations.
